Comparison
ZenCaddie vs. Imagine Golf
Imagine Golf is the best-reviewed mental game app on the App Store, and it's an audio library. ZenCaddie is a tool you run on the tee box. That difference matters more than the price gap, but the price gap is 6x.

The short answer
Pick Imagine Golf if you want to learn the mental game from people who've won majors. 400+ audio lessons, a Gary Player masterclass, and material drawn from Hogan, Penick and Woods. It's $59.99 a year and it has 4.9 stars from about 7,200 ratings, which is a number worth respecting.
Pick ZenCaddie if you already know what you're supposed to do and keep failing to do it at the moment it counts. It's $9.99 a year, it runs on Apple Watch, and its main feature takes 30 seconds on the walk to your ball.

Where Imagine Golf is better
Depth and pedigree. 400 lessons is a genuine library, and the Gary Player masterclass is something ZenCaddie has no answer to. If you enjoy listening and want to understand why your head does what it does, that catalog will keep you busy for a season.
It's also proven. 7,200 App Store ratings at 4.9 means thousands of golfers kept using it. ZenCaddie launched recently and has none of that yet, which is worth weighing.
The free trial is longer too: 7 days against ZenCaddie's 3.
Where ZenCaddie is better
On the course. Imagine Golf is audio you listen to somewhere else, and there's no Apple Watch app, so using it mid-round means pulling out your phone and putting in headphones in front of your group. Nobody does that.
ZenCaddie's Mid-Round Rescue takes 30 seconds on your wrist. You tap what happened, chunked drive or 3-putt or a bad ruling, and you get the breath and the line that fit it. Then you hit your next shot.
It also keeps score of your head. The momentum tracker logs each hole so that after the round you can see the 3 holes where you actually lost it, instead of remembering the whole back nine as one bad blur.
And it's $9.99 a year against $59.99, with $49.99 lifetime as an option.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Is Imagine Golf worth it?
For most golfers, yes, if you want to learn the mental game. 4.9 stars from roughly 7,200 App Store ratings is a real number and it's earned. You get 400+ audio lessons, a Gary Player masterclass, and material pulled from Harvey Penick's Little Red Book and Ben Hogan's Five Lessons. At $59.99 a year it costs less than a single lesson.
What's the difference between ZenCaddie and Imagine Golf?
Imagine Golf teaches you the mental game through audio you listen to at home or in the car. ZenCaddie hands you something to do on the course: a 3-minute pre-round routine, a 30-second reset after a blow-up hole, and a momentum tracker that shows which holes you lost. One builds knowledge, the other runs during the round. Plenty of golfers use both.
Which is cheaper, ZenCaddie or Imagine Golf?
ZenCaddie, by 6 times. ZenCaddie is $9.99 a year against Imagine Golf's $59.99 a year, and lifetime access is $49.99 against $149.99. Imagine Golf gives you a longer free trial at 7 days versus 3.
Does Imagine Golf have an Apple Watch app?
No. Imagine Golf runs on iPhone, and also on Mac with an M1 chip or later and Apple Vision. ZenCaddie has an Apple Watch app specifically so the Mid-Round Rescue works with your phone still in the bag, which is the only way an on-course tool gets used in a group.
Should I use both?
It's a reasonable stack and it runs $70 a year. Listen to Imagine Golf's Daily Drive on the way to the course for the ideas, then use ZenCaddie on the first tee and after the round goes sideways. If you only want one, pick by what's failing: knowledge or execution.
